The AllDayIT Speedometer Widget is a versatile dashboarding tool that displays totaled values in a Speedometer gauge visualization. The widget can be used in a single board’s chart tab, or in a Dashboard monitoring values across multiple boards and groups.

Values and percentages are numerically displayed in the widget as well as in a legend below the Speedometer. Goal and/or Stretch Goal values can be added for more business context. Displaying multiple Speedometers in a Dashboard for different KPIs or tracked values can ease the job of monitoring large multidimensional operations.
 
The speedometer features a customizable five-section colored heatmap scale that elucidates whether the current total is low or high. Text labels (also color-customizable) can be added to each gradient section. There are toggles to abbreviate large numbers, and to show or hide percentage tick-marks underneath the colored scale.

Implementation Notes

For each use case, the widget can be configured to:

  • Display multiple goals (baseline and stretch goals)

  • Filter by specific criteria (department, individual, project, etc.)

  • Show progress only for completed items or include in-progress items

  • Aggregate data across multiple boards for comprehensive reporting

  • Update in real-time as data changes
